macOS Installation Instructions
- Access the Network Software web site and login using your VT Username (PID) and passphrase.
- Select JMP Software and then click JMP 17 Pro for macOS.
- Review and accept the license agreement, and on the following page click the Download button to download the installer.
- Double click the SAS_JMP17_MAC_SEP_2024.dmg file to mount the JMP installer in Finder.
- Double click JMP Pro 17.pkg to begin the installation.
- In the Install JMP Pro 17 window, click Continue to proceed.
- Leave the default Installation Type and click Continue.
- Click the Install button to begin the installation.
- When installation completes, click Close to exit the installer.
- On the first launch of JMP Pro 17, you may see a message about registering JMP. Click Wait to register to bypass this screen and begin using JMP Pro 17.
macOS License Renewal Instructions
- Access the Network Software web site and login using your VT Username (PID) and passphrase.
- Click JMP Software and then select JMP 17 Pro License Update for macOS.
- Review and accept the license agreement, and on the following page click Download to download the DMG file to your computer.
- Locate the saved file on your computer and double-click SAS_JMP17_2023-2024_LicenseUpdate.dmg to open the DMG file in Finder.
- Right click or two-finger click on install_license and click Open. You will then need to click Open in the dialog box that pops up.
- This will install the current license file for SAS JMP 16 Pro. When complete, the window with "license installation successful" will pop up. Press Enter to close the window.
Windows Installation Instructions
- Access the Network Software web site and login using your VT Username (PID) and passphrase.
- Click JMP Software and then click JMP 17 Pro for Windows.
- Review and accept the license agreement, and on the following page click the Download button to download the installer.
If prompted, make sure to click Save and not Open).
- Locate the saved file on your computer and double-click it to begin the installation.
- When the installer launches, it will begin extracting the installation files. This may take several minutes.
- When the extraction is complete, the JMP Pro 17 - InstallShield Wizard will pop up. Click Next to continue the installation.
- Leave the Destination Folder as the default and click Next.
- In the Installation Options window, leave the default options selected and then click Next.
- Click Install to begin the installation.
- When the installation has finished, click Finish to close the installer.
- On the first launch of JMP Pro 17 you may see a message about registering JMP. Click Wait to register to bypass this screen and begin using JMP Pro 17.
Windows License Renewal Instructions
- Access the Network Software web site and login using your VT Username (PID) and passphrase.
- Click JMP Software and then select JMP 17 Pro License Update for Windows.
- Review and accept the license agreement, and on the following page download the license updater to your computer.
- Locate the saved file on your computer and double-click it to run the license updater.
- Click Yes to continue.
- This will install the current license file for SAS JMP 17 Pro. When complete, the window below will pop up. Press Enter to close the window.
If you see a message that indicates This program may not have installed correctly as shown below, it can be safely ignored. Click Close to dismiss this message.
