Changing from Avaya to Poly


Avaya

 

On the back of your current Avaya phone, the top connection is from your wall portal. The bottom connection runs to the back of your computer to provide network. There are icons on each connection to identify which is from the portal and which goes to your computer.

Poly

 

On the back of your new Poly phone, the connection on the left is from your wall portal. The connection on the right runs to the back of your computer to provide network. There are icons on each connection to identify which is from the portal and which goes to your computer.

Step 1: Unplug jumper from the top connection (network) of your Avaya phone and plug it into the left connection (network) of your new Poly phone.

 

Step 2: Unplug jumper from the bottom connection (computer) of your Avaya phone and plug it into the right connection (computer) of your new Poly phone.

 

If there is no jumper connected to the bottom connection (computer) of your Avaya phone, ignore step 2.

 

Step 3: Allow Poly phone to register. It will reboot multiple times and you do not need to do anything to the phone during this 5-10 minutes.


Step 4: When the Poly phone has registered, your phone will be ready to use.
