Graduate Life Center Rooms B/C Technology Utilization Overview

Introduction

Rooms B and C in the Graduate Life Center are configured to serve a multitude of needs, from course instruction, to dissertation defense, to graduate community gatherings.

Instructions

The technology available in the space allows for ambient music to be played for gatherings, huddle meetings, presentation, and Zoom meetings via the Zoom Room interface.

Audio Only

Use cases include music during a gathering or prior to a discussion style meeting/gathering.
To play audio, simply connect a 3.5mm (aka headphone) cable from your device to the wall plate.  Volume control is done via the labeled knob on the wall plate. See below for what to expect in the room.

  3. Schedule and arrive ahead of your meeting to ensure all technology is functioning as you expect.  While issues are rare, it allows us to be contacted to address any issues within our control.
  4. Do not join the meeting from your laptop, use share.zoom.us instead
  5. Avoid extraneous noise/conversation so that Zoom functionality has less difficulty processing audio (computers have a hard time distinguishing a speaker from general room conversations other other sounds).
