Introduction
Organizations, such as departments, often require wireless connectivity for devices that are:
- Shared (e.g., tablets, test equipment),
- Located in public areas (e.g., monitors, streaming devices), or
- Not attributed to an individual VT Username (e.g., Internet of Things, thermostats, sensors)
And require access to internal VT services or resources not accessible from the VT Open WiFi guest network.
Through the Wireless Device service, these devices may be registered to the organization instead of a VT Username.
This service is available at any location with Network Infrastructure & Services (NI&S) wireless service. Organizations and departments may subscribe to the Wireless Device Registration service to register devices to the organization. Registered devices must use the VT Open WiFI wireless network.
