Installing JMP 17 Pro for Students

macOS Installation Instructions

  1. Access the Network Software web site and login using your VT Username (PID) and passphrase.
  2. Select JMP Software and then click JMP 17 Pro for macOS.
  3. Review and accept the license agreement, and on the following page click the Download button to download the installer.
  4. Double click the SAS_JMP17_MAC_SEP_2024.dmg file to mount the JMP installer in Finder.
  5. Double click JMP Pro 17.pkg to begin the installation.
  6. In the Install JMP Pro 17 window, click Continue to proceed.
  7. Leave the default Installation Type and click Continue.
  8. Click the Install button to begin the installation.
  9. When installation completes, click Close to exit the installer.
  10. On the first launch of JMP Pro 17, you may see a message about registering JMP. Click Wait to register to bypass this screen and begin using JMP Pro 17.

Windows Installation Instructions

  1. Access the Network Software web site and login using your VT Username (PID) and passphrase.
  2. Click JMP Software and then click JMP 17 Pro for Windows.
  3. Review and accept the license agreement, and on the following page click the Download button to download the installer.
    If prompted, make sure to click Save and not Open).
  4. Locate the saved file on your computer and double-click it to begin the installation.
  5. When the installer launches, it will begin extracting the installation files. This may take several minutes.
  6. When the extraction is complete, the JMP Pro 17 - InstallShield Wizard will pop up. Click Next to continue the installation.
  7. Leave the Destination Folder as the default and click Next.
  8. In the Installation Options window, leave the default options selected and then click Next.
  9. Click Install to begin the installation.
  10. When the installation has finished, click Finish to close the installer.
  11. On the first launch of JMP Pro 17 you may see a message about registering JMP. Click Wait to register to bypass this screen and begin using JMP Pro 17.
