CALS - VCE Network Printer Setup Instructions (VA Business Systems)


Introduction
These are instructions on how to setup your computer to print to the VCE OfficeMax/OfficeDepot Managed Xerox Printers

 

Prerequisites 

The installation application will automatically detect the copier and install the proper driver.  Your computer will need to be connected to the office's wired network or eduroam to properly detect the copier.

For Windows:

  1. Download the driver installer from Xerox here.
  2. Click on GET THE INSTALLER to download the file to your Downloads folder.
  3. Accept the License Agreement, Click I Agree.

  4. The installer will search for available printers on your network.
    1. Note: Ensure that your computer is connected to a wired network in your office or to eduroam.
  5. Locate the copier for your location and click Quick Install. If the installer is unable to locate the printer, submit a help ticket for assistance with the installation.

  6. The installer will download and install the printer.  When the installation is complete, click on Print a Test Page to test the copier.  Then click Done.

For macOS:

 

  1. Download the driver installer from Xerox here.
  2. Under the Download section, click on I agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click DOWNLOAD.

  3. Go to the Downloads folder and locate the installer file that was downloaded.  Double click on it to expand the package.
  4. Double click on the Xerox Drivers.pkg file.
  5. Click Continue
  6. Follow below prompts to install:
    1. If prompted click Allow
    2. Click Continue
    3. On the Software License Agreement click Continue
    4. Click Agree.
    5. Click Install and when prompted enter your Mac Password.

  7. The installer will search for available printers on your network.
    1. Ensure that your computer is connected to a wired network in your office or to eduroam.
    2. If the installer is unable to locate the printer, submit a help ticket for assistance with the installation.

  8. Verify that the following are checked:
    1. Set Printer as Default
    2. Print Test Page
  9. Click Continue.

  10. When the installation completes successfully, click Close.
  11. Click Move to Trash.
  12. Verify at the printer that the test page printed properly.
