This article describes what to do when receiving an email message that is in egregious violation of Virginia Tech's Acceptable Use Policy. If the email is phishing, junk, or spam, please self-report using these instructions, Self-reporting Spam or Phishes. If the email is junk, spam, or phish, see how to self-report the email. Use the instructions below only for egregious violations.

Contact 4Help by clicking Get Help on the 4Help portal to report the email including the message header.
