Reviewing and Revoking App Consent in both Google and Microsoft


Introduction

This article describes how to review and revoke permissions, data, and identity access given to a third party through your Google or Microsoft credentials.

Instructions

Microsoft

There are two place you should look if you wish to remove an application’s access. The first is for general applications and the second pertains to Power Apps.

General applications

  1. Log in to https://office.com.
  2. Select your avatar in the upper right.
  3. Click View Account.
  4. Click Office Apps.
  5. Click Change app permissions on the Apps & Permissions card.
  6. Select the app in question and click "Remove".
  7. If you wish to see which specific permissions an app has, click on the ellipsis for the app and click Manage your application.

Power Apps

  1. Log in to https://office.com.
  2. Click on the waffle in the upper-left corner and select Power Apps.
  3. Select Connections in the left pane (you might have to click on More to see Connections).
  4. Click the ellipsis for the desired app.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. If you wish to see which specific permissions an app has, click on the ellipsis for the app and click Details.

Google Workspace

  1. Log into https://myaccount.google.com/security
  2. Click your avatar in the upper right.
  3. Click on Manage Your Google Account.
  4. Click Security in the left pane.
  5. Scroll down to the Third-Party Apps with Account Access section.
  6. Select the app in question.
  7. Click Remove Access.
