Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro DC


Introduction

Instructions

Windows Installation Instructions

  1. Access Network Software and login using your VT Username (PID) and password. Click Adobe Software and then click Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for Windows.
  2. Accept the license agreement and click the Download to download the installer image.
  3. Once the download has completed, double-click the downloaded file to mount the ISO.

  4. In the window that opens, double-click setup.exe to open the installer.

  5. When the installation is complete, click OK to close the installer.

  6. On the first launch of Adobe Acrobat Pro, you will be asked to sign in. Enter your Virginia Tech email address and click Continue to proceed.
    • If you are asked to choose between a Personal account and a Company or School Account, select Company or School Account to proceed.

  7. Now, sign in. Some users will sign in using an Adobe ID, while newer users will sign in with their VT PID and password.
  8. If you are asked to select a profile, make sure to select VIRGINIA POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE.

macOS Installation Instructions

  1. Access Network Software and login using your VT Username (PID) and password. Click Adobe Software and then click Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for macOS.
  2. Accept the license agreement and click the Download to download the installer image.
  3. Once the download has completed, double-click the downloaded file to mount the installer.
  4. In the window that opens, double-click Acrobat_en_US_MACUNIVERSAL.pkg to launch the installer.

    NOTE: If your Mac has an Apple processor, you may be asked to install Rosetta after launching the installer. Rosetta is required to install Acrobat Pro DC, so click Install in the pop up to continue.

  5. When the installer opens, click Continue to proceed

  6. When asked to select a destination, select the option you'd like and then click Continue.
  7. Now, click Install to begin the installation.
    • You may be asked to allow "Installer" to have access to data from other apps. If you see this message to click Allow to proceed.
  8. When the installation completes, click Close to close the installer.
  9. On the first launch of Acrobat Pro DC, you will be asked to sign in. Enter your Virginia Tech email address and click Continue to proceed.
    • If you are asked to choose between a Personal account and a Company or School Account, select Company or School Account to proceed.
