An organizational unit admin (OU admin) has placed the file storage of the SharePoint site associated with the Microsoft shared resource (team, group, or site) that they manage into a cheaper archive storage. However, the shared resource itself is still available. You can still (and only) search the resource but cannot work with any items within it.

If you want to reactivate the site, you’ll need to contact the OU administrator who manages the storage to have it reactivated. If you do not know which OU the resource belongs to, start with your OU admin. They can help you. Click this link for instructions about how to determine who your OU admin is in MyCAT.

If you want to search for items, follow the instructions below.

1. Go to https://virginiatech.sharepoint.com/ and log in using your VT username and passphrase.
2. Enter your search terms in the Search box.
3. Choose Archived in the File Type dropdown.
