Assigning a MAC Address to the Zoom Phone System in the NI&S Portal


Introduction

To assign a MAC address to a Zoom Phone, follow the instructions below.

Instructions

  1. In the Network Infrastructure & Services (NI&S) Portal, click Services / Service Inventory in the sidebar.

  2. At the top of the page, search for the person or the phone number (area code + prefix + line number (ex. 540-231-1234)).

  3. Select the service description of Zoom Phone User.

  4. Scroll down and click the toggle to the right of Physical Phone.

  5. Click + Add.

  6. Enter the phone MAC address (found on the back of the phone). You can click + Add below the MAC address text box to add additional phones. Be sure that each MAC address has been registered with NI&S before entering.

  7. Click Save.
