Introduction
Kaltura is the cloud-based video management system behind My Media and Media Gallery, which are Canvas LTI tools. Note that:
- Kaltura appears in some places in My Media and Media Gallery and in the company's documentation and user guides.
- Course Gallery is how you access Media Gallery in Canvas.

Instructions
Submitting Video Assignments
- Record your video and add it to My Media.
- See Adding Videos for an overview of how to add videos.
- Go to the video assignment in Canvas and choose a submission type. The available options will differ depending on what your instructor has set.
- If you have a different view of Canvas, your instructor may have disabled the Assignment Enhancement Canvas feature. Instead, click Start Assignment.
- If you choose Text:
- In the Rich Content Editor, click the Embed Kaltura Media button.
- The Embed Kaltura Media window will open. Go to the My Media tab.
- Click Select next to the video you want to embed.
- You can also click the down arrow to choose the size of the embedded video.
- You can also click the down arrow to choose the size of the embedded video.
- The video will be added to the Rich Content Editor.
- In the Rich Content Editor, click the Embed Kaltura Media button.
- If you choose Media:
- Click Record Media to record a video directly on Canvas or Upload Media to upload a video file on your computer.

- If you choose Upload:
- Drag or choose a file to upload.
- Drag or choose a file to upload.
- If you have a different view of Canvas, your instructor may have disabled the Assignment Enhancement Canvas feature. Instead, click Start Assignment.
- Click Submit Assignment.
