Most modern TVs or set-top boxes call this “Channel Scan”, “Auto Tune”, or “Auto Program.”

1. Connect antenna/cable and turn TV on.
2. Open Settings → Channels, Tuner, or Broadcast (names vary by brand).
3. Choose Auto Scan, Auto Program, Auto Tuning, or Channel Scan.
4. Select input (Antenna/Over-the-air vs Cable) if prompted.
5. Start scan — wait while it searches all frequencies; it’ll save found channels (Process could take 5-30 mins).
6. When finished, exit and check channels. If some channels missing, try repositioning antenna and re-scan.
