How to Request Technical Support from Qualtrics

NOTE: Beginning June 1, 2022, only departmental users who have purchased a Qualtrics license will be able to create, edit, and distribute surveys


Qualtrics directly supports licensed Virginia Tech users. To access their knowledge base or to request support:

Go to, and scroll down until you see this.


Click the contact support button.

Click blue button to contact support.

This takes you to a log in prompt that looks like this:


Click Sign in with SSO.

You will need to click “Sign in with SSO” and may be redirected to use Duo 2 Factor Authentication to verify your identity.

You will then be sent to this screen:


Without using capital letters or spaces, enter virginiatech into the textbox and click Continue.

Enter virginiatech with no space and no capital letters, then click Continue.

This will send you to a small pre-contact survey with answers to the most common support requests for Qualtrics. Click the tile that most closely matches your issue and follow the instructions it generates. If nothing matches, click “I have a different support request.” and answer the questions that follow.


Select the tile that matches your support issue or select the bottom rightmost tile that says "I have a different support request."
