Troubleshooting Email Forwarding with ITAR Restrictions


If you need to fix an email forward rule or policy, and you are in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) security group, this will be difficult as the forward option is disabled in EO for these users. The steps below are necessary to fix any forward.

If you know that you will be soon placed within the ITAR security group, please confirm your forwards are as intended in MyCat and that there are no client-specific forwarding rules within Outlook.


  1. Have your Organizational Unit (OU) admin temporarily take you out of the ITAR security group.
  2. Immediately adjust your forwarding.
  3. Immediately have your OU admin placed you back into the ITAR security group.
